The world keeps turning, whether we like it or not.

After a long and emotional week – heart broken to say I attended a funeral – this weekend was all about enjoying the small things.  Sometimes, a loss serves as a reminder to appreciate life, the small things, what we do still have here.   (more…)

Staycation + Spa Weekend

Staycation + Spa Weekend

Memorial day weekend – May 28-29, 2017

Sunday:

I booked myself an 80 minute aromatherapy massage at one of the nicest spas I’ve ever seen, Nob Hill Spa, and decided to stay the night at the hotel, Scarlet Huntington to truly make it a relaxing staycation.  At Nob Hill Spa, with getting any one of their services, you get access to all of their facilities which includes a large indoor infinity pool, hot tub, zen room (nap time!), eucalyptus steam room, dry sauna, showers, etc. and the option for a poolside lunch. Sam hadn’t tried it before.  The first thing the Sea Trek employees tell us: Oh well it’s a little windy out there, you sure you want to try it? And of course, we didn’t realize what exactly that meant, so we were still down to try it out.   (more…)
